During a session, Barbara will gently move her hands above, hovering close to the body, or with gentle touch in a series of positions. Each hand position focuses on a different part of the body — including the head, shoulders, stomach, and feet — and is held for roughly 3 to 10 minutes, depending on the person's needs. For example, she may gently place her palm on your forehead or may place her hands at the sides of your face. There is very little to no talking during sessions, which typically last between 60 and 90 minutes. An essential piece is the presence and state of being of the Reiki practitioner, whose training also includes ways to support their own “grounding.” To Request a Session please see below.

Benefits of Reiki


Reiki is meant to resolve emotional distress by allowing healing energy to flow freely throughout the body, which results in relaxation and reduced pain and tension throughout the body. It can also help reduce stress and anxiety, which can decrease pain perception as well.

ALL clients must fill out the online New Client Intake Form. We must have this form on file prior to your appointment. You will only need to fill out this online form once. Every client will, however, have to fill out a "day of" intake form in our studio upon arrival for your appointment. Please allow 10 minutes prior to your scheduled start time. ~Thank you
